ATTENTION FIRST YEAR LAW STUDENTS:  Beginning Friday, April 8th through the end of the day on Tuesday, April 19, 2016, no first year law student may meet with any Senior Writing Fellow. You may NOT meet with a Senior Writing Fellow during that time even if you want to discuss a document other than the Legal Practice exam. Beginning on April 20th, you may meet with a Senior Writing Fellow if you have submitted your exam.  (We will confirm with the Registrar that any first year student who schedules a conference has submitted his or her exam.)


January 13, 2016:

The Writing Center will reopen on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 for the Spring Semester.  Please sign up for appointments using the Writing Center Schedule Spring 2016 Calendar.  The Writing Center follows the Law Center's academic calendar and is open when classes are in session.  Please remember that you must provide a copy of your written document at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled conferences.  Monday conferences must submit the document by close of business the prior Friday.

To get started, register for an account by clicking the link to the left. The Writing Center is open to all members of the Georgetown University Law Center community.

  • You may sign up for one conference per week.
  • You must sign up for a conference at least 24 hours in advance and must provide a copy of the document that you want to discuss at your conference to the Senior Writing Fellow at least 24 business hours prior to your scheduled conference. (Documents for Monday conferences must be uploaded or sent to the Senior Writing Fellow by Friday.) You may upload that document to your appointment form.
