ANNOUNCEMENT #1: AUGUST 28, 2020

Welcome to the Georgetown Law Writing Center. This semester, the Writing Center will open on September 8th and will remain open through the last day of classes, December 4, 2020.  All Writing Center conferences will be held virtually this entire semester.  To get started, register for an account by clicking the link to the left.  The Writing Center is open to all members of the Georgetown University Law Center community. You must sign up for a conference at least 24 hours in advance and must provide a copy of the document that you want to discuss at your conference to the Senior Writing Fellow at least 24 business hours prior to your scheduled conference. (Documents for Monday conferences must be uploaded or sent to the Senior Writing Fellow by Friday.) You may upload the document to your appointment form. All conferences are 45 minutes long.   You may sign up for only one conference per week. Senior Writing Fellows will not provide written feedback nor will they edit and proofread your document.  Instead, Senior Writing Fellows provide verbal feedback and discuss the strengths/weaknesses of your writing as well as respond to specific questions or concerns you may have.  You will register for appointments on the Writing Center schedule (just as you may have done in the past for face-to-face conferences). Shortly before your scheduled conference, you just log back into this schedule and click on your appointment.  Then click on the red "Start or Join Online Consultation" link. Please accept any prompt to allow video and audio.  We intend to hold virtual video conferences and thus ask that you allow video.  If allowing video is a problem, you should email in advance the Senior Writing Fellow with whom you are scheduled to conference.  We look forward to "seeing" you!

ANNOUNCEMENT #2: APRIL 05, 2020

Please accept any prompt to allow video and audio.  We intend to hold virtual video conferences if at all possible.  Thanks for your patience and we look forward to "seeing" you!
